Mara Lindqvist

Lindqvist builds quiet color-field canvases from many thin, sanded layers of oil, letting the weave of the linen surface through. Trained in Malmö and Berlin, she is concerned with the threshold between landscape and pure tone — paintings that read as horizons only after the eye has settled.
